We’re excited to celebrate our 20th anniversary as a manufacturer of high-quality Rackmount and Mini PCs.
We have come a long way since 2003. We started as a small family business and are incredibly proud that over the years we have grown into a successful, well-respected company known for its groundbreaking PC solutions. Our first standard product was launched in 2005. Since then, we’ve used cutting-edge technologies to create unique computing solutions. This resulted in a comprehensive product portfolio that we sell worldwide.
Our manufacturing base is in the UK and we have a sales office in Germany covering Northern Europe. However, we do sell and deliver all over the world and look after these customers with the same care as our UK customers. Currently between 20 and 25% of our business goes to Europe. In order to better serve this market, we are considering setting up a production site in mainland Europe. This will allow us to expand our services across the continent, reduce our carbon footprint, simplify transport and reduce friction with UK customs.
We advertise ourselves as an engineering company that manufactures computers. We can make custom computers, with branding and bespoke parts. We are not a system manufacturer that assembles exclusively from off-the-shelf parts. This gives us the unique power of design control. You can buy a computer from a major manufacturer, but one of the problems is that once it reaches the end of its life, it’s obsolete. We can make the same product as long as the components are in production. We also offer our customers the ability to plan their orders ahead, so they can be sure that products will be available when they are needed. Some of our customers want additional mounts or their own branding on our cases,
Wie die meisten Unternehmen hatten wir mit COVID-19, dem Brexit, einer schwächelnden Wirtschaft und all den Problemen in der Lieferkette viele Herausforderungen zu bewältigen. Vor kurzem sind wir in ein zweckmäßig eingerichtetes Hauptquartier mit einer Fläche von 15.000 Quadratmetern umgezogen – viermal so groß wie unser vorheriger Standort, was uns erheblich mehr Platz für die Produktion und die Entwicklung neuer Produkte bietet. Unser engagiertes und sachkundiges Team wurde erweitert und wir freuen uns darauf, zu sehen, was die Zukunft für G2 Digital bereithält.
In diesem Monat haben wir ein neues Produkt auf den Markt gebracht, den 16FN, einen robusten, lüfterlosen Minicomputer, der auf der Intel NUC-Technologie basiert und deren beste Eigenschaften weiterentwickelt. Angetrieben von Intel® Core™ Prozessoren der 13. Generation und gekühlt durch ein spezielles thermisches Design, arbeitet er geräuschlos in einer Reihe von Umgebungen. Ergänzt durch eine Vielzahl von Optionen wie internes AC-Netzteil, Power-over-Ethernet, Multi-Ethernet-Ports und 1U-Rack- oder Wandmontage, spielt er wirklich in einer eigenen Liga.
Mit Blick auf die Zukunft betrachten wir auch Einzelhandelskunden als eine neue Branche, die wir bedienen wollen. Über unsere Online-Schwesterfirma Rack. Computer können Einzelhandelskunden ihre eigenen Systeme mit unseren außergewöhnlich konstruierten Gehäusen zusammenstellen.
